Julie Waddell's practice is a blend of complex litigation and regulatory counseling with a focus on the transportation, health care, and utility industries.

Ms. Waddell has over two decades of experience in antitrust, products liability, mass tort and RICO law. She has represented clients in all facets of litigation, from pretrial proceedings through appeals, and in grand jury investigations. Her experience in the products liability arena includes strategic counseling of clients faced with mass tort claims as well as defending lawsuits in state, federal and multidistrict litigation proceedings across the U.S. On the transactional side, Ms. Waddell's practice centers on competition issues presented by mergers and acquisitions in concentrated industries and matters arising under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act.

Before joining Harkins Cunningham LLP, Ms. Waddell served as counsel at two national trade organizations – the American Automobile Manufacturers Association and the American Trucking Associations, Inc. She began her career at Schnader Harrison Segal &Lewis in Philadelphia, and practiced at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton from 1990 to 1996.

Ms. Waddell is a graduate of Kalamazoo College (B.A., summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, 1981) and Michigan Law School (J.D. 1984). She is a member of the District of Columbia Bar and is admitted to appear before the United States Courts of Appeals for the Third, Fourth, and D.C. Circuits.
