 Steven A. Reed Steve Reed is a business law generalist with broad experience in the areas of complex commercial litigation, appellate advocacy, internal corporate investigations, corporate governance, securities and general contract matters. He has successfully represented public and private companies in a variety of industries, including energy, oil and gas, real estate, accounting, biotechnology, chemicals, information technology, venture capital, entertainment, office communications, banking and insurance. Mr. Reed has particular experience in the defense of securities fraud class actions, antitrust, shareholder derivative suits and takeover litigation, and has participated in a number of cases of first impression under Pennsylvania's Business Corporation Law, in federal and state courts. He also has considerable experience litigating complex contract disputes and intellectual property matters at both the trial and appellate levels, and in arbitrations. Mr. Reed has conducted internal investigations for Fortune 500 companies and has advised clients in a wide variety of corporate matters ranging from international marketing agreements to multi-billion dollar mergers. Mr. Reed has been identified as one of the top commercial litigators in Pennsylvania in both Chambers & Partners, Chambers USA – America’s Leading Business Lawyers, and Woodward/White, Inc., The Best Lawyers in America. He has also been selected, repeatedly, for inclusion in Law & Politics’ annual Pennsylvania Super Lawyers publication, and has received Martindale-Hubbel’s highest ratings for legal ability and ethical standards. Mr. Reed currently serves as the firm's Coordinating Partner. He received his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania and his B.A. from Franklin and Marshall College. He is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and is a member of the Bars of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third and Tenth Circuits and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
