Barbara Brigham Denys concentrates her practice in complex commercial litigation.  Ms. Denys has successfully represented a broad array of clients faced with a variety of legal challenges.  The clients she has served range from public companies to partnerships and individuals engaged in a broad spectrum of service and manufacturing industries.  Her experience has included defending a major health insurance company in nationwide class action lawsuits brought under ERISA and RICO, representing a large law firm in defense of malpractice and breach of contract claims relating to a leveraged buyout transaction, and representing a manufacturing company that assisted the government in blocking the illegal exportation of products it manufactured and sold in defense of various state-law claims asserted by the buyer.  Her goal with respect to each client is to thoroughly investigate and understand the issues they face, to communicate with them to understand their interests and goals, and to work cooperatively with them to achieve the best possible outcome.

Ms. Denys received her B.A. degree from Boston College in 1993, graduating summa cum laude, where she was Phi Beta Kappa and named to the international scholastic honor society for economics, Omicron Delta Epsilon.  She earned her J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law – Camden in 1996.  While studying at Rutgers University, Ms. Denys was a student intern with the Honorable Robert B. Kugler, U.S. Magistrate Judge, and with the United States Attorneys Office, both in Camden, NJ.

Ms. Denys is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of New Jersey and is a member of the Bars of the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the District of New Jersey.  She is a member of the American, Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Bar Associations and the Pennsylvania Defense Research Institute.
